Watch The Walking Dead season 2 online! Since the primary season wrapped, we have been yearning way more 'The Walking Dead' as much as zombies hunger for brains! Thankfully, AMC has given in to our cries and brought to public the 1st image from 'The Walking Dead' Season 2, now in development. There's no official launch date, just the autumn, still October is a really good speculation, notably given how good the very first season did. Season 2 would have thirteen spanking new parts, up from Season one's six. Along with the image, AMC released this statement from Frank Darabont, executive producer/writer/director of The Walking Dead Season 2; - At this stage, I'm standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse freeway in Georgia, packed with all but abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with the outstanding cast, and our fine directors and crew. Generally speaking, you will find none better. It's good to be shooting again. I think we've embarked on an excellent season. Pretty sure this woman's seen better days. No person was a great deal more astonished by the breakout success of AMC's The Walking Dead than Robert Kirkman, the man who wrote the graphic books that inspired the zombie drama. I'm actually surprised. You mostly pray this stuff will be successful, but never in 1 million years did I imagine the TV show would catch on to this degree, Kirkman tells TVGuide.com. Presently we've got Zippo lighters and cups, T-shirts and Walking Dead-brand gum and cologne. It is certainly weird to become in the middle of what, I guess, is a trend. I'm quite enjoying it, but it really does startle me sometimes. Without regard to all the previously mentioned products and a looming video game inspired by the series, Kirkman will be primarily focused on penning the comics and shaping the 2nd season of the tv show — the latter of which has seen Kirkman transfer to Los Angeles to work full-time in the writers' area. Each of these comic and the TV show follow Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), the organizer of a pocket of survivors attempting to stay alive after a zombie apocalypse. The end of Season 1 found the survivors engaging out on the open highway after their last shelter in Atlanta, the Centers for Disease Control, proved to be anything but safe. While Kirkman can't expose a good deal about the way Season 2 is shaping up, he's clearly very excited about witnessing the pack travel. You'll find it intense, he promises. Now we have interesting cast members and we will probably be putting them through their paces. This is a hard world, and there are several tough times facing them. We are going to see these personalities get over a lot during the period of this tv show. The climax also planted the seed for another mystery: Dr. Jenner (Noah Emmerich) whispered something in Rick's ear just before they fled the about-to-explode CDC. Kirkman guarantees viewers are getting some payoff sooner rather than in the future. We are very aware of the audience's expectation. There's teasing the audience and there's torturing the audience — and there is a fine line, Kirkman says. We are going to have a lot of other stories to deal with, but we are definitely shall be confronting that soon and not torturing audiences with the mystery of that too much. On account of show's huge success the Season 1 finale gained 6 million viewers, shattering all of AMC's other ratings records and its Golden Globe nomination for Best Drama Series, the expectations wouldn't be higher for Season 2, which is still planned to commence in October. Kirkman, however, remains unfazed. Being in the room and aware of what we have plotted out, I'm for certain this season will top the other season, he says. Everyone is breaking their spines with a mind toward really coming out of the gate this season and wowing most viewers.
